HOW TO BE IN THE MOMENT – 101 Little Tips

 TIP #65
Celebrate your own footsteps.

A whisper through crispy autumn leaves; the earnest crunch of dried acorns; the thin chatter of a kicked pebble.

Though they bear the weight of the world, let your feet proclaim their joy…not just in getting somewhere, but in the going.

This is so beautiful! Thank you for sharing it Jeffrey and perfect timing as I continue to do some barefoot walks still with now the crunchy leaves under my feet.

Yes, may we celebrate each step...consciously.

Hey Evita - It makes me so happy when you visit OMW! Thanks for the comment -- the barefoot walks through leaves sound great, but I'd be careful with the acorns! ;-)

Did you write the beautiful poem? I am happy to be walking anywhere, but especially off the beaten track. My latest post is about flying a kite at 52 days to explore. Do you know of any kite flying in your area?

Hi @GNN - I'm so glad you commented, and hope you'll come back now and then.
Yes I write everything on One Man's Wonder unless otherwise indicated. Thanks for the compliment!
I follow your 52 Days, and love the kite piece. Also checked out your great Good News Network site and have subscribed -- hey, who couldn't use some more good news?
If you get a chance to share a link to me with your kindred spirits, I'd sure appreciate it!

Beautiful! What wisdom this post holds! Indeed our footsteps hold a whole world of wonder for us. So often each footstep is taken for granted, it is beautiful to enjoy each step along our journey! I am so grateful for each step my feet take me upon in life, especially on our long distance hikes!

Hey Stacey -- Thanks for the comment and the praise! Yeah, if anyone should know how to celebrate a footstep, it would be you and Bernie! I so enjoyed your last trip report and pix!

Thanks, Grace. I figured you'd appreciate my little tips. I don't do them in order; just randomly pick them. I hope you'll share one of them now and then with others you think might appreciate them.
By the way, nice job on your blog -- love the video!

Hi Marisa -- Thanks for your kind words. I'd be honored if you quoted this post, as long as you credit me and include a link back to One Man's Wonder.
Don't know if you saw my current post about my walk with the dog, but it may also be of interest in terms of the walking experience.
