HOW TO BE IN THE MOMENT – 101 Tips

TIP #82
Get Into a Frozen Lake.

Fissures crack and groan; leaks well up and set like candle wax; bubbles, bobbers and bluegills are frozen in time.

Keen senses prove that lake ice, like each of us, is no immutable whole, but a tattered raft of so many separate floes.

Wow what a photograph...and that would put one right in the moment

We are having unusually warm sunny days right now...a walk in the warm rain was lovely....a camilia already in bloom and my primroses...How can this be....I am having trouble starting the New Year...staying right in the moment and enjoying each one!
Thank you for sharing

Hi Patricia - The ice in the photo is nowhere to be found 'round here this year...yet.
Lucky you, having things blooming! Still, at some level, I miss "real" winter here. Folks were golfing yesterday!
Last year by this time, we'd already had several feet of snow and lake ice was probably a couple of feet thick.
Thanks for your loyal following!

I love the quiet life of ice. Any day now it will be back. Enjoyed your words about this subject.

Hey David -- I love the way you put that: "the quiet life of ice." Thanks for the comment. I'm so glad to see you here...and hope you'll come back, share and/or follow :-) )

Don't know what part of Virginia you're in, but I gather you're having an unusually warm, dry winter as we are here in MN. Here's to the return of winter wonders!
