Experience life with all your senses.
Can one ever savor enough the wonders of this achingly beautiful world? When you're drawn to one of them by a certain sense, see if you can enlist your other senses too. Let them play with each other: smell colors; feel tastes; see smells.

Might the storied sixth sense be simply
the common sense to use the other five?

I thikn the combination of senses sometimes provides a further sense. Like you say, "seeing the smell" or "feeling the sound" acts as an extra sense giving the body more fuel to experience the world.
ReplyDeleteDear Mark -- Thanks for the comment. Yes, kind of like "sensing outside the box."
ReplyDeleteI like your blog! May I suggest you add to your links a great travel blog that overlaps what I'm trying to do with curiosity and wonder. It's A View From the Pier (link in my sidebar) Meg Pier is a friend, who's always looking for new connections.
Be well. Have a wonder-full day!
Great post! Bacon's a perfect example of "multi-sensing!"
ReplyDeleteThanks, Raoul! Don't get me going on bacon!
